WINDOWS7 - don´t worry!

An Ethernet network protocol IPX realizes a secured and connection-oriented communication in network systems. Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft has stopped the Support, therefore Windows XP is the last Windows version, which supports the IPX protocol.

The master module P67100 for Offline Programming System PGS67 by ertec GmbH realizes until now Ethernet connection based on this IPX-protocol in accordance with the standard 10Base-T with a transfer speed of 10Mbits/s on TP-cable.
Due to the lack of support for new Microsoft operating systems, ertec GmbH offers an upgrade of the master module P67100 with UPD protocol.

In addition, there is a new PGS67 master module P67102 in development, which supports the connection-oriented TPC protocol. In contrast to UDP protocol, the reliability here is considerably higher, the data stream is monitored and errors can be detected and repaired.

The new master module P67102 supports additionally the standard 100Base-T (Fast Ethernet), thus a transfer speed from 100mbits/s also via Twisted Pair-Cable.

The module will be available in second quarter 2015. The previous upgrade of UDP is taken into account.

A 32-bit DLL (PGSCommDrv.DLL), which is used by OnBoard Programming System PGS80, works without any problems under Windows7, as well with 64-bit Windows7.
Ertec is currently working on the development of a new DLL, which will also be available as 64-bit variant.
Completion is planned for the third quarter 2015.
